Profile

I still remember the day I came home from school in tears because my school bag was plain, unlike the other kids', who had Disney character bags. Seeing how upset I was, my grandfather picked up a pen and drew my portrait on the bag. With a smile, he said, “No one else has their own picture on their bag as you do.”My tears turned into a smile

I am a Professional Artist & Art Therapy Practitioner with formal training in art therapy and more than a decade of experience in painting. Through OutlinesSoul, I combine artistic experience and therapeutic principles to help people use creativity as a gentle practice for relaxation, self-expression, and emotional well-being.

From an early age, I was deeply drawn to painting. Long before I discovered the writings of Wassily Kandinsky, I had already felt that colors carried a language beyond words and possessed a unique ability to touch the soul.

Over the years, I have come to believe that art is more than something beautiful to look at. It can become a quiet refuge from the pressures of daily life a place where healing and creativity blend into one palette.

Through OutlinesSoul, my mission is to help others discover that creativity is not reserved for artists alone, but can become a gentle and meaningful part of everyday life.

My journey as an artist began with classical painting. I spent countless hours painting the landscapes of palms in Dubai, the mountains of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, and the old forts of the United Arab Emirates. Through realism, I learned to appreciate light, shadow, shape, and the quiet beauty that surrounds us in everyday life. Much of what I learned came from studying the great masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Johannes Vermeer.

Realism and detailed drawing taught me much more than technique. They gave me confidence, patience, and a sense of organization. They trained my eyes to understand the subtle shades, colors, and forms that exist all around us. More importantly, they taught me to slow down and truly see the world, not only its details, but also the beauty hidden within ordinary things.

Like many artists throughout history, my work continued to evolve through inspiration from other artists. During one period of my journey, I was deeply inspired by the expressive brushstrokes of Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Their ability to capture light, movement, and emotion with visible brushwork opened a new way of seeing for me.

Although I remained close to realism, I began to appreciate that a painting did not need to describe every detail perfectly to communicate beauty and feeling. This experience taught me an important lesson: artists learn from one another across generations. Every art movement grows from the ideas that came before it, and every artist adds a personal voice to that continuing conversation.

Another important influence on my artistic journey was Fauvism, with its love of bold color, simplicity, and emotional expression. I was inspired by artists such as Henri Matisse, who showed that color does not need to imitate reality to create beauty and meaning.

The freedom of simplifying shapes and expressing emotions through color brought a sense of comfort and inner peace to my work. I discovered that a painting could communicate feeling through harmony, simplicity, and color alone. This experience helped me move beyond technical accuracy and explore a more personal and emotional connection with art, where color became a language of its own.

My Artistic Identity

Sometimes I think of artistic styles the same way I think of clothes. Each one reflects a different part of my personality and emotions. Realism gives me a sense of strength, confidence, and presence. Impressionism belongs to my joyful moments, when I simply want to enjoy the movement of the brush and let colors dance freely across the canvas. Fauvism, on the other hand, allows me to express emotions more openly. It brings comfort, honesty, and, at times, the freedom to be bold and even a little wild with color and feeling.

Rather than choosing one style, I embrace them all. Each represents a different mood, and together they have become part of who I am as an artist.
